Kikusui Made in Japan Purely Domestic White Birch Toothpicks
Kikusui Sangyo Co., Ltd.

Kikusui Sangyo is a manufacturer that carries on the tradition of toothpick making, a local industry of Kawachinagano, Osaka, dating back to the Meiji era. We produce the commonly used round-shaft toothpicks as well as domestically sourced Kuro-moji toothpicks, which are used in tea ceremonies and when enjoying traditional Japanese sweets.
Tradition Passed Down in Every Japanese Toothpick

Our domestically produced toothpicks are made from white birch wood harvested in Hokkaido. From logging to manufacturing, every step takes place in Japan, with no chemicals used, ensuring a safe and reliable product. Each toothpick embodies the spirit of Japan’s meticulous craftsmanship, quietly accompanying daily meals while conveying the weight and beauty of a long tradition.
Custom Printing & Original Products Available from Small Lots
We also offer custom-made toothpicks and chopsticks for companies and restaurants, with logos or store names printed on the packaging. Since we can handle small lot orders, they are highly popular as novelties or for hospitality use. In addition, we produce items with text engraved directly onto domestic toothpicks themselves, elevating them beyond the idea of “disposable” items into tools that carry memories and individuality.
